Day 1: International Arrival in Lima

Assistance at your arrival to Lima International Airport and transfer to your Hotel. There you will receive a briefing on your tour; receive vouchers covering all the services included in your tour and additional information on the organization of your Peru trip.Meals Included: None.

Day 02: Morning flight to Cusco

Breakfast and transfer to the airport to take flight to Cusco.Meet upon arrival and transfer to your selected Hotel. Rest and adapt to altitude.

Day 03: Cusco – Sacred Valley of the Incas

Breakfast at the hotel. Early in the morning our guided visit to the Sacred Valley will take place. We will start the tour departing through the fertile countryside, arriving to the colonial town of Pisac, where a colorful market will welcome us, continuing our route through the valley, passing by typical town, till getting to the archaeological province of Urubamba to try a delicious lunch buffet.After we will visit an ancient but enigmatic Ollantaytambo Fortress located in a typical Inca town, composed by numerous temples and terraces. This archaeological complex is one of the biggest monumental exposures that the Inca have ever done.

Overnight in the Sacred Valley. Lodging at the hotel.

Day 4: Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu – Cusco

The day starts with an early morning rise to transfer to Cusco train station for a 3 ½ hour train journey to the famous Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, also known as “The Lost City of the Incas”. Arrive at Aguas Calientes station followed by a 30-minute bus drive, climbing 6km of winding road, to the incredible MACHU PICCHU. Upon arrival, we’ll participate in a guided tour of the Citadel, visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and various burial grounds. After the tour you will have time to stroll around the archaeological site at your leisure. Llunch at a local restaurant in Aguas Calientes Town. Afternoon return to Cusco Overnight in Cusco.Meals Included: Breakfast at hotel and buffet lunch.

Note: When operational or technical reasons obligate the Train Operator to relocate the clients onto the Sacred Valley-Aguas Calientes train service or viceversa, Best Peru Tours will provide all transfers needed to the train station in the Sacred Valley in order to board the train to Aguas Calientes or viceversa.

Day 5: Cuzco – Puno “The Route of the Sun” by Bus

Breakfast. Early departure by bus to the City of Puno, (3,860 m.a.s.l.). During the trip, we pass by the lovely Wacarpay Lake, offering spectacular views of the mountains reflected in its calm waters. We proceed to the beautiful Town of Andahuaylillas, and visit the Church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas, better known as the Sistine Chapel of the Americas, due to its decorated polychrome ceiling. On the way, we stop in Raqchi, where we can see a spectacular Inca Sanctuary built by the Inca Pachacutec, and dedicated to the great Inca God of Wiracocha. It has a great central wall with a stone base of fine Inca architecture. Other walls are made of giant adobe bricks. The structure also has two circular lateral columns. Around the Temple are several buildings once used for housing and storage. About 70 km further on, we pass through La Raya Ranch where we can see herds vicuñas and llamas. Then we travel along the High Plateau of Collao, stopping at the Town of Ayaviri, an important livestock and textile centre, to visit the impressive Temple of Kalasaya, ruins from the ancient Pucara Culture. Buffet lunch in a countryside restaurant, where we can enjoy the delightful culinary art of the region. Afternoon arrival in Puno and transfer to your selected Hotel. Evening free. Overnight at selected Hotel in Puno.Meals Included: Breakfast and Typical Lunch.

Day 06: Puno – Titicaca Lake

At according time we will start our lakeside guided tour to the highest lake in the world the “Titicaca Lake” (3810 m.a.s.l), located in the Altiplano, we will visit the Uros Islands using small boats, this ethnic family lives in floating islands of totora reeds. We continue to Taquile island (4040 m.a.s.l) where we will discover one of the most beautiful andean places with plenty of hills and archaeological sites, weaving is the main activity and garments made with high technical fabric designs shows their daily lives. Return to Puno in the afternoon. Accommodation in Puno.Meals: breakfast and lunch.

Day 07: Puno – Crossing of Titicaca Lake – La Paz

At according time pick up from hotel to the Station to board the bus towards the town of Copacabana, before entering to Bolivia we stop through immigration, for this reason it is important for the passengers to carry their physical passport to enter Bolivian land (the payment of the visa is according to the nationality of the passenger, they should ask about information in the Bolivian consulate in their country), in Copacabana we will visit the main square, the cathedral, the Indian market among other attractions, then we board the catamaran to start the crossing of Titicaca Lake, during the voyage we will visit the Sun Island, here we will visit the Inca Garden, the Steps of the Inca, the Sacred Inca fountains and Inti Wata Complex, we will also appreciate the ceremony called Kallawaya and a demonstration of ancient navigation in a boat made of reeds, At the end of our visit to the Sun Island we will be transferred to Chua town, here we board the bus to La Paz. Arrival, reception and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in La Paz.Meals: breakfast and lunch.

Day 08: La Paz – Uyuni

Departure by plain to Uyuni at 06:00 or 06:45, the flight takes around 45min, arrival and reception in Uyuni. Our visit starts visiting the train cemetery only at 5 minutes from Uyuni away, after that we go towards the great Salt Lake, visit at the Incahuasi Island which is one of the central tourist attraction. We will follow the little path to arrive at the top of the island from where we will get the amazing 360 º view on the Salar.Outdoor lunch and free time to enjoy the view. We will see water bubbling on the service, known as ‘Ojos de Salar’, which comes from the underground river of the Tunupa Volcano.

Afterwards we drive in direction of the village of Colchani to visit the salt factories and souvenirs market. Finally, we head back across the lake arriving to our hotel at sunset.
