The Inca civilization, were great builders with the ability to integrate the most astonishing network in the old World, almost 22,000 kilometers Inca roads, many of which are still in use today Our adventure will take us into the mountains and valleys past villages untill we reach Machu Picchu.
ITINERARY
FIRST DAY
Pick up from your hotel at 6.00 a.m. and transfer to the Sacred Valley and onto Ollantaytambo, where we will stop approximately 45 minutes, to collect porters and equipment. We will have time to visit the surroundings area of the town called Ollantaytambo, before making our way to kilometer 82, where we will begin our Trail, our pace will be an acclimatization rhythm and very soon we will stop at our first archaeological complex Llactapata at kilometer 88 2,550m above sea level, 30 minutes to visit this archaeological complex, before continueing our walk to Wayllbamba where we will camp.
Total walking time 4:30 at 5:00 hours Total number of kilometers 12 km Initial altitude 2750 M.T Final 3,000 M.T.
SECOND DAY
After breakfast we will begin our walk through the Valley of Huayllabamba on our journey we will be able to observe the nature and the ecological change of the area until we arrive to (Yunaca Chipana) Huayllabmba from where we will climb to Llulluchapampa at 3,750 m.s.n.m., from this point we will be able to appreciate the valley of Huayanay and the first step located at 4,200 (m.s.n.m) Warmiwaסusca, called dead woman and camp in the sector of Pacaymayo.
Total walking hours 7:30 / 8:00 hrs Total of number of kilometers 13 km Initial altitude 3,000 M.T. Final 3,800 M.T.
THIRD DAY
Breakfast and on this day we will ascend to Runkurakay at 3,860 m.s.n.m., contrary to the previous days our walk will be two hours more we will be able to visit another small complex, Sayacmarca and appreciate the valleys and snow capped mountains, further on we will stop to visit the complex of Phuyupatamarca, and then descend 3 kilometers until we arrive to a place called Winawayna where we will visit its complex, finally at Intipata we will camp.
Total walking hours 10:00hrs Total number of kilometers 15 km Initial altitude 3800 M.T Final 2,650 M.T.
FOURTH DAY
Early morning breakfast, after we will walk to Intipuncu called Door of Sun where we will be able to observe the impressive Lost City of Machu Picchu, walk to the Sanctuary and guided tour.
At a suitable hour we will walk down to the station and take the return train to Cusco, reception and transfer to hotel.
Total walking hours 2:15hrs Total number of kilometers 6 km Initial altitude 2650 M.T Final 2,400 M.T.
