You will experience Lima and its culinary history visiting traditional places filled with history.
Walking Gourmet City Tour: This is a special City Tour especially for those who want to discover a different face of Downtown Lima. We will walk along the main attractions such as the charming San Martin Square where the Bolivar Hotel is located. The hotel bar’s Pisco Sour is one of the most famous. You will then continue to the Main Square where you will see the Government Palace; City Hall and the Cathedral. On the road to San Francisco Monastery and its catacombs, you will visit the “Cordano Bar”, founded in early the 20th century by Italians and famous by its sandwiches. You will continue to the “Parque de la Muralla” (the first wall park surrounded Lima). You will end the excursion visiting the Bolivar Square where the Congress and the building where the Spanish Inquisition was placed.
Culinary Curriculum: You will learn about Peru’s culinary history by walking through historic streets and buildings. Stops at traditional restaurants will add a new dimension to the experience.
