Day 1: Arrival in Lima

Day 02: Larco Museum
We will begin our tour visiting one of the best museums in Latin America. The Larco Herrera Museum, 18th century colonial-style museum houses the largest and most impressive ceramic collection in the world, with about 55,000 pre-Colombian clay pots on display. The collection concentrates on the refined ceramics of the Moche Dynasty, the people who lived along the northern coast of Peru between 200 and 700 AD. The Moche culture is recognized as accomplishing one of the greatest imaginative languages of ancient Peru through the use of creative pottery, providing clues to all aspects of their civilization without the use of the written word. One can learn about their religion, agriculture, transport, dance and music through their ceramic designs and shapes. The Moche are also renowned for their fascinating erotic pottery and the famous collection is on display in the separate ‘Erotic Hall’, depicting sexual practices of several Peruvian cultures in a lifelike, explicit and often humorous way. Day 03: City Tours + Sun and Moon Temple
Transfer to the airport to board the flight to Trujillo.Transfer from the Airport to the elected Hotel.
Visit of Trujillo city. The tour begins in the Main Square, Cathedral, Urquiaga House, La Merced Church, the Emancipation House, Iturregui Palace and finally we visit the Archaeological Museum of the National University of Trujillo.
After that you can visit of Huacas del Sol y La Luna, capital of the Moche culture. At the moment it is in excavation Huaca de La Luna. It is possible to see the beautiful murals with the representation of the God Ai-Paec, also known as the “Decapitator.” After this visit we go to the Huacas de Moche Museum.

Day 4: Dragon Temple – Chan Chan – Site Museum and Huanchaco

Day 5: Bus to Chiclayo – The Royal Tombs Museum
After your breakfast we continue in route to Chiclayo city (3 hours).Pick you up and transfer to your hotel.
PM Visit to the Royal Tombs Museum of Sipan, the most modern in the Peru. The journey allows to know all the objects found in 1987 in the place of Rent Huaca, well-known as Sipán. Return to the hotel.

Day 6: Pyramids of Tucume & Sipan (Huaca rajada)
After breakfast you will visit of the Ceremonial Center of Tucume, archaeological complex composed for 26 pyramids. This site was the second Capital of the Lambayeque or Sican culture.In the afternoon we will visit Sipan or Huaca Rajada, place where was made the most important archaeological discovery of Peru. In the place there is a replica of the tomb of the Lord of Sipan and other tombs discovered until now. At night you can transfer to airport to take your flight to Lima.

Day 7: Lima – Cusco

Day 8: Cusco – Sacred Valley of the Incas
Breakfast at the hotel. Early in the morning our guided visit to the Sacred Valley will take place. We will start the tour departing through the fertile countryside, arriving to the colonial town of Pisac, where a colorful market will welcome us, continuing our route through the valley, passing by typical town, till getting to the archaeological province of Urubamba to try a delicious lunch buffet.After we will visit an ancient but enigmatic Ollantaytambo Fortress located in a typical Inca town, composed by numerous temples and terraces. This archaeological complex is one of the biggest monumental exposures that the Inca have ever done.
Overnight in the Sacred Valley. Lodging at the hotel.

Day 9: Sacred Valley – Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu
The day starts with an early morning rise to transfer to Ollantaytambo train station for a 90-minute train journey to the famous Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, also known as “The Lost City of the Incas”. Arrive at Aguas Calientes station followed by a 30-minute bus drive, climbing 6km of winding road, to the incredible Machu Picchu.Upon arrival, we’ll participate in a guided tour of the Citadel, visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and various burial grounds. After the tour you will have time to stroll around the archaeological site at your leisure.
Overnight at Hotel in Aguas Calientes.

Note: When operational or technical reasons obligate the Train Operator to relocate the clients onto the Sacred Valley-Aguas Calientes train service or viceversa, Best Peru Tours will provide all transfers needed to the train station in the Sacred Valley in order to board the train to Aguas Calientes or viceversa.
Day 10: Aguas Calientes – Cusco
Leisurely breakfast. Excellent opportunity to wake up early and enjoy with a beautiful sunrise as well as stroll by the Town of Aguas Calientes.Then, you will have time to perform some of the following activities: (not included in the overall tour price): Visit the Hot Springs Thermal or visit the Citadel of Machu Picchu for the second time.
For the most adventurous people, we suggest to go up the Huayna Picchu (if it is not raining) from where you can appreciate the immensity of Machu Picchu, even more amazing being high and distant. Arriving at the top takes about two hours and a half and it must be before 13:00 hours. It is necessary to register in an office at the beginning of the trail. An exciting adventure for the travellers who want to see, from the top, the nature and the carved stone emerging from the ground as a geological miracle.
Return to Cusco by train. Transfer to selected hotel.

Day 11: Cusco – Lima
Colonial Lima
We will visit downtown Lima`s historical center, designated by UNESCO as Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 1991. In this journey we will enjoy what once was the center of the 16th century.
Spanish colony. We will see the Plaza Mayor, the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishop`s Palace, the City Hall and the Desamparados Train Station. We will also see Plaza San Martin, a large park surrounded by old colonial buildings still displaying beautiful carved wood balconies and other landmarks.
San Francisco Monastery and Catacombs
We shall visit the San Francisco Monastery and its famous underground crypts known as the Catacombs. At the end of the tour you will have a choice to either shop at the Indian Market, Larcomar Mall or return to the airport and take your flight home.
